OUR BELIEFS

SCRIPTURE
I Timothy 3:16; I Corinthians 2:13
We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the Scriptures as originally given and that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort in all matters with which they deal, including scientific and historical as well as moral and theological.
GOD
Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13-14
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.
CREATION
Romans 3:10-18
We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness.
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man.
CHRIST'S DEATH & RESURRECTION
I Corinthians 15: 14; Romans 4:25
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples.
CHRIST'S BODILY ASCENSION
John 14:2-3; 1 Thess. 4:13-18
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church.
SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins.
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Acts 2:1-4; 8:14, 17; 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation
THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14, and as manifested in the Early Church.
SPIRIT-FILLED LIVING
Ephesians 5:18; I Corinthians 6:14; 7:1
We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world, and perfecting holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.
HEALING
Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; I Corinthians 12:9; James 5:1
We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church.
ETERNAL LIFE
Mark 9:43-58; II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15
We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers.
SATAN & HIS JUDGMENT
Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15
We believe in the reality and personality of satan and eternal judgment of satan and his angels.

OUR SERVICES
What are our services like?
Our congregation is a beautiful mix of all demographics of people from various stages of life. Some are dressed up in their "Sunday Best", while others prefer more casual attire. The worship service will last just 90 minutes and will begin with music that spans diverse worship genres from contemporary, traditional and gospel. These variations of style allow for individual participation that is both expressive and contemplative.
Our worship services always include the giving of our tithe and offering. Our Pastor Jesse Smalley II, is a uniquely gifted commentator of God’s word with practical teaching and dynamic preaching as he conveys a relevant, effective message.
What are the service times?
Sunday 8:30.m. Eastern Standard Christian Education (Sunday School)

No, you sure don't. We will give you a visitor's card and ask you to drop it in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit. Pastor will acknowledge your attendance in order to allow our people the opportunity to give you a warm welcome.

Does First Community Church have Children and Youth ministries?

Yes, they function weekly during our Tuesday Night services. Our children and student ministries provide continuous structured interactive sessions, and community projects for all participants.

OUR NEXT STEPS

We will remain true to the principles of Holy living and continue to hold the Bible as God’s word for his people.
WE will profess the word of God to convict sinners, empower believers, and compel worshippers.
WE will emulate the works of Jesus to heal those who are hurt, repair those who are broken, and love those who are loss.
We will strive for excellence in ministry. Our service to God will be a true reflection of the God we serve.
WE will employ the love of Jesus to welcome men and women of all colors, creeds, races, and nationalities from all social and economic backgrounds to our Church.
WE will acquire 50 acres of land where will build a first-class sanctuary with seating for thousands, television ministry, youth center with game room, gym, and touring center, 24-hour crisis/academic/parenting/career development counseling center, k-12 school, trade school for non-college bound students, drug rehabilitation with onsite counseling and housing, 24 hour food home and clothing shelter.
